The sky is entirely void of Air planets, while Venus in Taurus, the balancing energy to our fiery Arien warrior, is in an opposition with Jupiter in Scorpio.
At the time of the last Full Moon in Libra, Venus was in a conjunction with Uranus, challenging us to accelerate the rate of our personal growth within the dynamics of our relationships. Some of our relationships stood the test, allowing for soul evolution to exist alongside the partnership. Those that were able to change rapidly alongside this pressure were able to reach a new level illumination. Those that were not likely experienced a rapid and somewhat surprising degeneration, one that is ultimately in service to the separate processes of growth needing to be undertaken by each individual outside of the relationship.
With the Sun + Moon’s conjunction revisiting Uranian planetary energy, we are again seeking the integration of the divine rebel into our personal framework of the inner emotional landscape as well as our projective + conscious expression. In general, Aries season promised a lot of interaction with this planet, as it has been stationed the sign of Aries since March of 2011 (soon to move into Taurus).
Uranus is about working within the framework of personal ideals in order to contribute to and elevate the collective. The added pressure of Pluto during this moon is, however, not allowing this to occur solely on the level of utopian ideals disconnected from the personal journeys of transformation, as a grounded empowered state remains the most fertile land in which to plant the seeds of evolution. We are being asked to consider what aspect of our psyches is driving us forward—are we pulled in multiple directions by unchecked desire and unconscious emotional patterns that seek comfort through habit and thus destroy our growth and limit our potential? Or have we integrated and taken responsibility for our shadow selves, recognizing that our behavioural and emotional reactions to situations are in our control, and that they can improve steadily alongside our ability to embrace our belonging, not living as a separative and isolated being but instead engaging with the outer world as an integral aspect to the whole of life. The lack of Air planets and Mercury’s recent retrograde period (this planet stations direct on the same day as the New Moon) asks us to look for our power and work with the process of integration from a deeper level of being than the intellectual. Look to the visceral experience and the knowing of the soul as it is expressed through the body to guide the journey onward instead of relying on rational considerations to provide the answers.
Finally, Venus’ opposition to Jupiter retrograde in Scorpio reminds us of the value of the dark mother archetype in our lives. We are largely focused on outer manifestation and materialization as this supports the conditioned (Yang) polarity of our current societal structure. However, this outward focus is only whole when complimented by the equally necessary inner passage through the cycles and archetypes of the divine journey of healing and transmutation of the desires and emotions that bind us so that we can be reborn divine beings of balance and deep inner knowing (Yin), waking to the true reality of one foot in matter and the other in spirit. It is only in this way that we can manifest the true potential that Aries energy reminds us we are capable of.
